Ipwe Student Programme Coordinator

University of Warwick, United Kingdom University of Warwick Full time

Permanent, part-time (hybrid) position - 22 hours per week.

Appointments are usually made at the bottom of scale.

This new student-facing role administers a range of learning activities and opportunities for students engaging with work experience and placements. Supervised and led by IPWE’s Student Services Lead, activities will include delivering workshops, updating content on online platforms, facilitating drop-ins, and maintaining the recently-launched WorkReady Toolkit. You will work directly with students, SO and wider University colleagues, and external stakeholders, and will be motivated by a passion for enhancing the student journey towards graduate employment.

A significant aspect of this post will be to increase student engagement with the WorkReady Toolkit, which guides students through work experience and related career thinking. You will manage tracking functions, data collation and perform simple data analysis, with the opportunity to help shape the final Toolkit’s for launch in Autumn.

To be successful, you will have some administrative experience, ideally in a customer setting within the education sector. You will be highly organised and able to prioritise your workload across a variety of services, events and programmes. Collaborative working is vital in IPWE’s team of eight, although you will be required to work autonomously at times. You will have demonstrable ability and confidence to act as the first point of contact for students and other stakeholders in an engaging and professional manner, and to facilitate (pre-developed) workshops. You will be proficient using Excel and Word to evaluate/report on activities. Appreciation of the challenges that students face in gaining meaningful work experience and a drive to support students is key. Training will be provided.

Your hard work and commitment will be rewarded: you will join an inclusive team who work together to develop new services, optimise current provision, and make continuous improvements to meet student needs within University strategy. You will develop your own skills and experience, with access to formal and on-the-job training and development, conference attendance, and professional staff networks. You will be expected to work at least two days per week in the offices on campus in Coventry (currently including Tuesday).
