We are looking for someone with extensive vocational experience within health and social care settings and experience as a care home manager to join our team. The right individual will be passionate about passing on their knowledge and experience to others and supporting them to achieve.

You must have maths and English at level 2 and confidence with ICT or at the very least a willingness to develop ICT skills. Teaching qualifications are not essential, although excellent communication is a must.

Your role will be based from home. Regular travel will be required to learner workplace settings and our head office, so a full driving licence is essential.

You will join a team of tutors who play a vital role supporting learners to achieve their career goals. Your main role will be to motivate learners and help them believe they can succeed. You will be given a caseload of learners who will be working at different levels ranging from 2 to 5 in Adult Care settings. Alongside supporting learners to achieve their apprenticeships and diplomas, you will responsible for helping them to pass their functional skills maths and English to level 2. A sense of humour, passion for developing others in health and social care, and an appreciation of Yorkshire Tea is essential.

Essential:

- Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Maths and English to Level 2
- Experience of working in the care sector as a Care Setting Manager

Desirable:

- Level 5 in Health & Social Care or Management
- Assessment Qualification - TAQA, A1 or D32/33 or equivalent
- Quality Assurance Qualification
- Experience delivering Apprenticeship Standards

You will be asked to:

- Demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all
- Provide individualised development and tutoring for learners and apprentices to support the achievement of their chosen qualification
- Assess learner knowledge, skills and behaviours against the Apprenticeship Standards through observation, discussion and questioning
- Identify barriers to learning and provide appropriate learning materials or facilitate additional learning support if required
- Liaise with workplace managers regularly to share learner success and maximise potential for employer engagement
- Facilitate positive retention, achievement and progression of learners
- Support apprentices to achieve functional skills maths and English to level 2
- Prepare apprentices for End Point Assessment within Apprenticeship Standards
- Demonstrate exemplary time management skills including caseload management; tutorials, feedback on work submitted and sessions with employers
- Proactively monitor learner progression and engagement to ensure funding compliance and enable effective business management
- Behave in a professional manner at all times ensuring all are treated with dignity and respect

We have an online platform which allows learners and tutors to communicate, share work, book sessions, conduct Zoom meetings and monitor progress. This facilitates a blended approach of face to face and online teaching and learning sessions.

Our team will guide you through induction and continue to support you throughout your career with us. Full training will be provided on all aspects of your role including use of our online platform, ICT, qualification content, and effective teaching and learning.
