Are you a highly reliable and caring person looking to become a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant? A highly regarded SEN school is looking to add someone to their team to work alongside their pupils who have special educational needs and can sometimes present with challenging behaviours.

The school require someone who:

- Holds at least one year's experience of working within a school (desirable but not essential)
- Holds a teaching assistant qualification or relevant degree (or be willing to work towards a qualification)
- Can evidence a good attendance record with previous employers
- Has confident behaviour management skills and is willing to undertake training to keep skills up to date
- Will be able to quickly build relationships with children and staff
- Must be willing to work hard, and go above and beyond with the learner at the core of what you do

The main duties within the role will be:

- Working 1:1 or with small groups for inventions
- Supporting children with reading, writing and phonics
- Liaising with the class teacher around pupil progress
- Helping the class teacher to engage pupils in lessons
- Assisting the class teacher with the setup of the classroom
