Interim Category Manager FM wanted - experience in BMS desirable
Your new company
Your new company specialises in providing technical services in technical facilities management and due to a number of factors they are growing year on year. They have increased turnover by almost 100% in the last year due to significant client wins, as wellas just securing a acquisition as of 2023 A vacancy has opened for an interim Category Manager who will provide supply chain support and management in a fast-growing organisation, specifically for FM spend.
Your new role
In this role, you will contribute to and support the implementation of the procurement strategy to guarantee that the wider organisation is provided the best suppliers and competitive rates to enhance the service offered to its customers. This organisationis as busy as ever and you will come in to support the current projects by benchmarking, tendering, and mobilising the supply chain. You will also be updating details on preferred supplier lists. You will be tendering and category managing BMS, lifts, airconditioning and refrigeration products and services, as well as consumables and materials. You will also need to renegotiate existing contracts for the company.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be in possession of stakeholder management, analytical, interpersonal and negotiation skills. Proficient use of Microsoft software is highly desirable. You will need to be able to maintain strong working relationships and have the ability towork within a team environment. Being customer focused, both internally and externally, is essential. Able to work autonomously and to conflicting deadlines is also vital. You must have significant experience within facilities buying (BMS, Hvac, Lifts highlydesirable) and category management procurement role previously.
