**Role**:Lead Stock Controller

**Location**:Nechells, Birmingham

**Contract**:39 - 41 hours per week

**Salary**:£26,000 Per Annum

Mainstay Recruitment are currently working alongside a well-established and expanding food retailer based in the Nechells area who are seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join the team. As a Stock Controller, you will be responsible for taking telephone bookings for goods being delivered on subsequent days and recording relevant details in the diary, booking in direct delivery order for branches etc.

**Duties of the role**:

- Taking telephone bookings for goods being delivered on subsequent days and recording relevant details in the diary
- Cross checking delivery details are correct before marking into diary
- Booking in direct delivery order for branches
- Ensuring Purchase Order contains details of samples on delivery (container deliveries)
- Ensuring that the container deliveries Purchase Order are printed ready for next day
- Inputting all weighted item details (weight/batch/best before date) to calculate the total weight received before any weighted delivery can be accepted
- Ensuring that all delivery notes to be passed to Accounts Department
- Any customs/damages booked in full quantity, move the discrepancy to CEHOLD, inform purchaser to arrange Supplier Returns Note
- Chasing Supplier returns note from purchasers
- Creating Supplier Returns Notes when necessary
- Keep record of Return to Supplier paperwork
- Correcting any bulk location detail changes after check sheets come back
- Doing secondary checks if there is a possible stock adjustment required Ambient and Frozen
- Liaising with warehouse/freezer staff with regards to ongoing PI checks
- Perform secondary ongoing PI Checks (Ambient & Frozen)
- Investigating all movements of problem stock to identify if any has moved throughout the business
- Compile weekly stock reports comparing WMS against outside storage reports
- Booking in of direct deliveries into outside storage
- Chasing up any problems with regards to stock held in outside storage with the relevant person
- Retail Supervisor experience would be advantageous
- Extensive stock control experience
- Excellent Time Management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- IT skills
- Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

**Contract & salary**:

- Contract: 39 - 41 hours per week
- Salary: £26,000 Per Annum
