We have a vacancy for a HSQE Co-ordinator to be based in our Horley office with a requirement for occasional travel to contract sites. Homegrown is a specialist Vegetation Management, Arboriculture, Ecology and Fencing Contractor providing a comprehensive range of services to the civils, construction, highway, rail, and utilities sectors throughout the UK.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of HSQE documentation (method statements, working instructions, safe systems of work etc)
- Conduct internal audits / inspections in liaison with the HSQE Manager
- Support HSQE derived initiatives
- Assist the Company in achieving its obligations as a “Principal Contractor” duty holder under CDM Regulations
- Assist with maintaining RISQS Accreditation / Verification
- Assist with maintaining ISO certification
- Identifying and managing risk assessment, competence requirements training, PPE requirements and safety issues relating to assigned contracts

Experience and Qualifications Essential:

- NEBOSH General Certificate or Construction Certificate
- IOSH / IIRSM membership
- PTS AC/DCCR and experience in rail industry
- General commercial and business knowledge
- Good computer literacy, with good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook

Experience and Qualifications Desirable:

- Environmental Management qualification / experience
- Experience within forestry, vegetation, fencing, arboriculture and herbicide industry
- IEMA Membership
- ISO experience
- CDM experience

Equipment Competencies Required:

- Clean full UK driving licence

Behavioural competencies:

- Ability to multitask and manage workload
- Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of people
- Ability to work in a team as well as independently
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Versatile and can-do attitude
