We’re looking for a Substation Assessor/Trainer to join our Global Technical Training team.

Reporting into the Safety and Substations Training Manager, you will play a vital role in assessing apprentices against apprenticeship standards, ensuring compliance with funding obligations, and working closely with the technical training team.

You’ll conduct End Point Assessments to determine the apprentices' competency and readiness to enter the industry as a qualified professional, carry out apprentice reviews to ensure that they are meeting their learning objectives and perform on-site observations to assess performance identifying areas of improvement and giving constructive feedback.

Occasionally you may be asked to offer emergency training support to the technical training team, if needed by the wider team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future workforce of the electricity transmission industry in the UK.

The role will be based at our Eakring Training Centre but we offer hybrid working where you can expect to be in the office one day per week with the remainder from home or observing at sites.

**What we're looking for**:

- Solid understanding of apprenticeship standards and relevant regulations within the electricity transmission sector in the UK. (Training can be given)
- Proven experience in assessing apprentices against apprenticeship standards and conducting End Point Assessments. (Training can be given)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with apprentices, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, ensuring timely completion of assessments, reviews, and documentation.
- Knowledge of funding obligations and experience in accurately recording and reporting assessment data.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Relevant industry qualifications and certifications in electricity transmission or related fields are desirable.
