The children, Executive Head Teacher, staff and governors of The Cliff Federation of Schools (Hemswell Cliff and Willoughton) are seeking to appoint a SENDCO to join our supportive, happy and enthusiastic team. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent practice and has high expectations. There is no teaching commitment attached to this role.

The Cliff Federation

Part-time SENDCO across the Federation (2 days a week - 0.4)
Permanent (Starting September 2023)

**Interview date: Tuesday 20th June**

Salary Scale: UPS 2

Hemswell Cliff and Willoughton Primary Schools are small rural schools with big ambitions for their children and community, where children are keen to learn and enjoy coming to school. We work closely with all stakeholders to promote children’s development and enjoyment of learning and offer a friendly and supportive working atmosphere, where personal professional development is actively encouraged.

You will:

- Have a sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
- Understand what makes ‘quality first’ teaching, and effective intervention strategies
- Be able to plan and evaluate interventions
- Analyse data and have the ability to use data to inform provision planning
- Be able to build positive relationships with children, staff, parents and Governors in a small school environment
- Be prepared to play a full part in the life of our school, including contributing to the ethos and upholding our values
- Contribute to school self-evaluation, particularly with respect to provision for pupils with SEND
- Make sure the SEND policy is put into practice and its objectives are reflected in the school development plan (SDP)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of national and local initiatives that may affect the school’s policy and practice
