**About MAGNETO Special Anodes** MAGNETO special anodes B.V. in Schiedam is a growing Dutch company, specialized in the development, production, and sale of titanium anodes with various catalytic coatings and of electrochemical cells. Magneto is part of Evoqua Water Technologies Ltd. since2016.

**Purpose of the Role** As a scientist/researcher, you will develop new electrodes for use in water electrolyzers to produce green hydrogen. The role specifically aims at developing industrially accepted electrocatalytic coatings with high performance and long lifetime. You willplay a critical part in the successful development and industrialization of our green hydrogen offerings.

***Scope and Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop new electrode materials and electrocatalytic coatings.
- Manage your projects and activities as part of a phase-gate process.
- Regularly report and present your findings internally and externally.
- Develop and critically evaluate laboratory methods and procedures.
- Interface with the Process Engineering and Business Development teams to ensure that new ideas can be scaled up and developed to maximum effect.
- Provide technical sales support such that customer needs can be translated into product offerings that solve their challenges.
- Support the EHS, Quality and Production teams to identify technical solutions to safety and quality problems in support of continuous improvement and customer fulfilment.

**Educational requirements**:

- University Master or Doctorate degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Materials Engineering.
- Experience in water electrolysis for hydrogen production is an advantage.
- Experience in inorganic chemistry and oxide (electro)chemistry/synthesis is an advantage.
- Fluent in English, written and oral.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
