Motion Designer

Purpose of the job:
This role is to join the dedicated creative agency for a global electronics brand based in Chertsey as a Motion Graphics Designer. You will be responsible for the delivery of video, animation and social media projects as well as supporting on design, amends through to the final product adhering to brand guidelines.

Working alongside the Creative Director, Account Managers, Designers and Artworkers to ensure creative solutions are delivered to high standards at all times.

This is a hybrid role, with flexibility for working days at HQ in Chertsey and from home.

Key Responsibilities:

- Participating in every stage in the creative process, from conceptualisation, client amends to final output
- To take the lead on motion based projects and confidently storytell using film
- Creating/resizing highly engaging video and animations for multiple media types
- Preparing conceptual layouts for motion graphics projects
- Assisting in selecting appropriate audio, graphic and animation styles
- Encoding, converting and editing videos and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics
- Supporting the design and artwork team with design and artwork tasks
- Creating digital assets for projects and ad hoc - i.e. video resizing, video exporting
- Follow the studio’s traffic management process to ensure best in class results are achieved
- Providing accurate time estimates for your work
- Staying up to date with new animation technologies and techniques and contemporary production design and music
- Lead by example and share your knowledge and best practice experience with the wider design team

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Proficient in After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
- Excellent knowledge of Media Encoder, Blender/Cinema 4D
- Desirable - Davinci Resolve, 3D Animation, DSLR/Mirrorless/Cinema Camera use experience
- Proven track record of motions graphics, creative design & artwork creation
- Excellent creative and technical skills
- Exceptional eye for detail
- Ability to work independently and with a wider team
- Flexible and can adapt to quickly changing priorities and tasks
- Open to constructive criticism and can maintain a great attitude
- Able to quickly pick-up a client’s brand guidelines and maintain brand consistency
- Highly organised with an internal drive to continuously improve and learn new skills
