**Ranger Job Description**
- Keeping all animal enclosures clean, including daily spot and weekly deep cleans or as necessary
- Daily feeding of all animals following the feeding schedules and guidelines outlined in the zoo policies
- Providing & maintaining enrichment to all animals
- Conducting regular health checks on all animals
- Administer medical treatments to all animals as required
- Customer services - ensuring all guests receive an informative, educational, fun & safe experience while in the zoo
- Conducting animal handling sessions & experiences
- Presenting parties, group sessions, educational and therapy sessions
- Ensure all enclosures are secure throughout the day
- Ensure both entrances to the zoo are locked when finishing shift
- Conducting celebrity/VIP visits
- External visits
- Answering customer questions/enquiries, provide general information about the zoo and our services
- Manning reception and gift shop when required
- Answering the phone when required
- Reading, understanding and adhering to all zoo policies and standards
- General cleaning and maintenance of the zoo & outdoor areas
- Ensure all areas of the zoo are clean and tidy at all times
- Use, maintain and store all zoo equipment in it’s relevant place
- Reporting low stock levels to relevant team manager
- Upselling products and services
- External sales/promotional activities
- Attending staff training and meetings as required
- Report all issues with animals, enclosures, general maintenance issues and customer concerns to relevant member of the management team
- Ensure all relevant tasks are logged accurately and in timely manner on the connecteams app
- Enure all shift start times, breaks and shift ending times are logged in Blip App
- Ensure all requests for annual leave/time off are logged in the Bright HR App
- Any other ad hoc duties pertaining to your role as required

Experience working within a zoo or farm park essential. Unfortunately trainees or work experience will not be considered for this role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: From £11.40 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 45 per week

**Experience**:

- Animal care: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
