**MPA Recruitment are working in partnership with the local health and social care trust to recruit a Band 4 Social Work Assistant for the Family Intervention Team based in Craigavon**

**ROLE AND FUNCTION**

The Social Work Assistant will be primarily responsible for assisting social work managers in the provision of quality social work services to children and families. He/She will work within a Children’s Services Team and will undertake tasks allocated by the Social Work Team Manager to support social workers in the discharge of their duties. The Social Work Assistant will also be expected to ensure continuing professional development through training, supervision and learning in line with NISCC registration requirements.

**Qualifications / Experience Required**

**OR**

**OR**

4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) **and** 3 years’ experience working in a social care role
- Currently hold registration with the Northern Ireland Social Care Council on the Social Care part of the register.
- Hold a full current driving license valid for use in the UK and have access to a car.

**Hours of Work**

Monday-Friday 9am-5pm

37.5hrs per week.
- **6 months initially, will be reviewed after**_

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: From £12.86 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
