**About the role**

This is a flexible role, that will require you to be in the Milton Keynes office a minimum of 2 days a week, with a variety of site visits and home working available. There will be travel involved, as there are sites across the UK - but this will be covered by a competitive car allowance, mileage claims and accomodation paid for by Dandara.

**What you will do**
- Carry out Site SHE inspections across each site and issue a report to the Site Management Team with practical remedial actions.
- Actively promote, influence, implement and monitor the SHE procedures and their effectiveness.
- Compile specific information from SHE inspection reports and issue them to the Health & Safety department for inclusion in the monthly Health & Safety meeting.
- To provide support to the Development team on CDM requirements including Pre-construction information, Construction Phase Plans and duties and responsibilities.
- To provide support to the Design team in regard to CDM duties, principal of prevention and risk management.
- To proactively support and work with the Site management team in a continual improvement of HSE on sites.
- To investigate accident incidents and near misses and undertake root cause analysis of any incidents and identify any improvements and trends.
- Review Construction Phase Plans, RA/MS, COSHH assessments and any other documentation when required.
- Review supplier Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ) where required.
- Highlight trends within the company and allow improvements to be implemented across the business.
- To develop and present training materials, presentations, or other media to assist in the promotion of HSE compliance and good practice across the Dandara Living division.
- Liaise with local authorities, Other HSE advisors and HSE where required.
- Attend all monthly internal Health & Safety meetings.
- Provide feedback from all meetings to management or sites as required to allow good ideas to be passed throughout the business.
- To keep up to date with all current legislation and keep all site management up to date with any changes as required.
- Implement new systems, processes and procedures as required to ensure Health and Safety regulations are being adhered to.
- Monitor the effective use of Health & Safety systems on all sites.
- To provide support and guide the HSE administrators in their role within the business.

**What you will have**
- Experience in construction activities either as a site manager/ supervisor contractor or H&S advisor.
- NEBOSH Construction, NCRQ or equivalent.
- ISO 45001, 14001 management systems experience.
- Internal Auditing qualification.
- Preferably a training qualification.
- A Proactive hands-on approach to guiding and or encouraging continual improvement of HSE across the Dandara Group.
- Good MS Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- The ability to work with various interested parties and to influence across a variety of stakeholders.
