**About the role**

We are working in partnership with a school in the Burton area. They need a Teaching Assistant to work with children who have special needs on a 1:1 basis and also group work in class. This is a permanent role and a full-time contract is available.

The great thing about this role is that the school does offer extra training and support. A full induction will be given. And lots of ongoing support will be provided.

The facilities at this school are amazing and the ethos is very child lead. It's all about giving the best care to the children as it should be. This means every lesson and activity is specifically tailored to the needs of each child.

Put simply most children who have special needs do not work well in a uniformed classroom environment and they need lots of personalised support to flourish and this is a school that understands that.

They have forest school, visits from donkeys, day trips, woodwork and lots of music and sensory activities to name a few. But there are children with special needs that love a personalised classroom environment and every child must be catered to and given the best opportunity to succeed.

If you are looking for a place of work full of passion and where the chief aim is for the children's well-being then this is the role for you.

**Flexi Hours**

The hours are very flexible and you can choose your shift pattern and flexible hours are available. Shift patterns available are:

And even more, flexibility is available on a case-by-case basis.

**Experience needed**

We are looking for people who have relevant special needs or care sector experience. You must have experience within a school, PRU, nursery or residential setting or very similar. You must have experience working with children or young adults that have special needs or are from a care background.

This is a great opportunity for someone to start or even progress in their career. This is a school that is all about progression for their staff and working around them.

**Qualifications**:
Having relevant qualifications would certainly would be a bonus but not essential. We need hard workers who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young adults that have special needs locally In your area.
