**Position Summary**:
Required for a busy Electrical Contracting company in the South Wales Area.
**Main Responsibilities**:
The job will include a wide range of duties, including but not limited to the following:
- Processing authorised purchase invoices within the accounting system.
- 3-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipt notes and purchase invoice.
- Ensure correct nominal coding and VAT treatment on all invoices / credit notes.
- Pro-actively resolve invoice variances with suppliers and operations.
- Reconcile supplier statements in a timely manner.
- Monitor and resolve any debit balances arising.
- Produce monthly payment run for purchase ledger.
- Perform regular housekeeping checks and ensure ledgers are up to date.
- Create and maintain supplier account data.
- Collate procurement card receipts, ensuring all VAT is recorded correctly.
- Ensure all labour and mileage timesheets are received, checked and input promptly.
- Allocate labour to project costings.
- Working to meet deadlines in accordance with month-end closedown timetable.
- Contribute to a professional and well-organised office to support the smooth running of the business.
- Provide cover for the finance team
- Ad-hoc support to the Financial Controller and the overall business.
**We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who possesses the following skills**:
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Working knowledge of Sage 50
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping, financial systems and processes
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data
- Strong attention to detail
- Enthusiasm to learn
- Willingness to work individually and as part of a team
- Self-motivation
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
