Multi-skilled Storeman

IVC Technologies Ltd is an Audio Visual integrator providing a variety of technical solutions across the UK and overseas. Our customers range from Premier League football clubs through to large international banks and the UK Government. Our systems are as diverse as digital signage, large auditoria and corporate event spaces, and broadcast systems.

**What we are looking for**:
Due to an exciting stage of growth and development at IVC, we have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a storeman - with the potential to progress to an engineering role.

You will be working as part of a team on multiple AV integration and installation projects, primarily within the Government, Finance and Sports Stadia sectors. While no specific experience is required for this role (all training will be provided), an interest or hobby in IT/technology would be preferred. Your office-based role will include:

- Receiving, unloading, checking and storing incoming goods
- Asset logging & tracking of both inbound and outbound deliveries
- Keeping accurate records of stock movements, inventory and stock levels
- Obtaining Return Merchandise Authorisations (RMAs) and tracking the progress of repair/replacements
- Booking couriers, to include commercial invoices where applicable with commodity codes for customs
- Performing data entry roles, including updating records and databases

Occasionally, you will be required to undertake deliveries to all customer sites. Age 23yrs or older is preferred to permit vehicle hire where required.

For those interested in developing the role and joining the engineering team, you will work with the rack builders carrying out the following:

- Manufacturing equipment rack power and signal cabling looms
- Installation of equipment into the equipment racks
- Setting up entire systems for offsite testing to be carried out
- Experience working in a similar role and trade-type industry
- Applicants ideally to be located in Yeovil or the surrounding area
- Be able to show a record of continuous education or work
- Show initiative and have an excellent work ethic
- Have excellent communication skills, be methodical and have good problem-solving skills
- Hold a clean driving licence

license Be willing to work towards industry standard qualification as well as attending training courses
- Have a flexible approach to working hours (weekend work/trips away may be necessary)

**Preferred but not essential**:

- Relevant demonstratable work experience or hobbies advantageous
- Be comfortable working on-site, including working at height, climbing ladders and working in confined spaces

**Your Career Progression**:

- Rack build engineer responsible for the manufacturer of sub-systems and cable loams
- Field service engineer responding to call-outs and carrying out fault finding/resolution
- Installation Engineer responsible for delivering projects
- Project engineer responsible for all technical aspects of a project

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
