Position: Housing Benefit Overpayment Recovery Officer
Duration: 12 Weeks
Hourly Pay Rate: £26 UMB P/H

Job Purpose:
The Housing Benefit Overpayment recovery team is responsible for recovering overpaid housing benefit from customers, private landlords, and social landlords. The team also handles correspondence from customers and external organizations, negotiates payment arrangements with customers, and processes payments via telephone.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
Collecting incoming post and documents, ensuring correct routing.
Calling customers by telephone to process agreed payments.
Utilizing IT systems for document printing and organization of work.
Conducting necessary checks on the Department of Works and Pension system for debt recovery.
Maintaining filing systems and databases as required.
