Our hotel is the first property under the Hyatt Place brand in Central London. The new-build 280-room Hyatt Place London City East, managed by Cycas Hospitality, occupies a prime position in the bustling district of Aldgate on Whitechapel Road, close to brick lane and minutes from the heart of London’s Financial district.

The hotel has a stunning destination rooftop bar, that overlooks The Gherkin and Canary Wharf, ‘PocketSquare London - Skyline Bar & Terrace which launched late last year. And we are imminently launching our restaurant - ‘Zoom East’ kitchen & Bar. Our restaurant brand will have a Southern Mediterranean edge, and will be bold in flavours and colours, casual in mood and service, with simple elegance in style and delivery. Local artistic influences combine to give culinary expression to our East London neighbourhood.

The 80-seat restaurant will offer a delicatessen, features audacious street art from international renowned artists, a signature inner-courtyard space perfect for partnership activation events, and a stunning private dining room - ‘The Orangery’. The restaurant brand is playful, local, spotlighting artists, musicians, and great East London food producers.

**Kitchen Porter - About the role**

As Kitchen Porter joining the team, you will play a key role in providing guests with all service and assistance connected with cleaning and maintaining Food and Beverage work areas, materials and equipment in line with the Health and Safety regulations. Some of the key processes include but are not limited to:

- washing, scrubbing and maintaining all the back of house areas together with all operational kitchen equipment.
- safely operating dish washing machine, and other equipment
- responsible to empty all garbage as appropriate
- correctly using chemicals and cleaning equipment and preventing hazards
- accountable for assisting with equipment stock takes, ordering, stores requisitioning

The role reports to the Head Chef & Sous Chef
