Pebbles Care are pleased to announce a brand-new opportunity to join our team as a Residential Child Care Worker on a part-time basis. This unique role will offer the flexibility of two back-shifts per week and one twelve-hour weekend shift and will be on average 26 hours per week.

**Your role**

You will be responsible for ensuring that our children and young people are cared for in every element of their lives. This career will allow you to make a positive difference to all aspects of our children and young people by accompanying them to and from school or college, facilitating family contact, creating a warm and comforting environment, shopping, cooking, cleaning and encouraging participation in local activities and hobbies.

- Proficient IT skills and experienced in using Microsoft packages,
- A full manual UK driver's licence.

**Desirable Qualities include**:

- One years' experience in child care or youth settings
- An SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma / relevant to Children and Young People's Residential workforce, or working towards.
- An interest in pursuing relevant Child Care qualifications,
- Familiar with the Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies, i.e. SSSC,
- An existing PVG / DBS certificate

At Pebbles, we have almost 21 years' experience in supporting some of the most vulnerable young people across the UK. We aim to nurture and develop, so that children and young people can flourish in our care.

Our teams are spread across 46 registered homes and 2 academies that continue to meet the needs of young people and provide supportive ways developing and learning. We also have excellent learning and development resources to ensure that all our staff have access to high quality, up-to-date training and support.

**Remuneration**
- The salary is £14,057.50 per annum
- Your part-time hours, including paid rest breaks, are on average 26.0 hours per week..
- You are required to work across a seven-day rota.
- You will receive 13 days of holidays per annum, pro-rated for part-time employees and auto-enrolment into the company pension scheme.
- We offer opportunities to gain relevant and necessary vocational qualifications, i.e. NVQ/SVQ Level 3.
- You will also receive a comprehensive induction and support in your role through regular supervision meetings as well as opportunity to progress in your career.

**Additional Information**

All successful applicants will be required to carry out the appropriate level of disclosure check, the cost of which will be covered by Pebbles Care.
