As our Quality Assurance Technologist, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our product range continue to be produced to the highest quality standards and all products comply with agreed specifications, customer and legal standards.

**Key duties**:

- Carry out product inspections to ensure quality is within specification ( incl. routine RM Intake, customer returns and/or positive release assessments).
- Monitor and trend product quality, identifying improvements.
- Conduct investigations (i.e. incidents, analytical testing, audits and customer complaints). Agree and implement corrective actions and measure the effectiveness.
- Maintain our Due Diligence and customer specific testing requirements.
- Ensure full product traceability throughout the supply chain.
- Ensure daily / weekly / monthly QA scheduled tasks (i.e. Hygiene and Fabrication Audits, calibrations, glass & plastic audits) are completed on time and any subsequent actions are followed up.
- Manage customer sample requests.
- Provide information for monthly quality and management meetings ( incl. various trend analysis as and when required).
- Review and verify Chelmer Foods format certificates of conformance (COA’s).
- Assist in ensuring that site is ‘Audit Ready’ at all times against the internal audit schedule.
- Support the site management team in delivering continuous site improvement and implement the best practice / new processes where possible.
- Support and work collaboratively within the Technical team, as well as with the other departments, to help to ensure the food sold is legal, safe and of the required quality.

**Competencies and Skills**:

- Level 2 HACCP.
- At least 2 years previous experience working within the technical function.
- Experience / knowledge of customer requirements and quality specifications.
- Sufficient knowledge and understanding of BRC requirements, food industry practices, procedures and UK/EU Regulations.
- Auditing qualification.
- Leadership skills, Problem solving skills, Great negotiation skills, Strong analytical skills / Competent computer skills.
- Ability to represent technical function internally and externally.
- Highly professional with good integrity.

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
