We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic self-motivated person who can manage their own workload, to join this small but successful Business Rates team based in Lancaster with the option of hybrid working.
Experience of working in a Revenues environment is desirable however good communication skills and a customer care attitude are a necessity for this post.
This is a high performing team, whose responsibility for the collection of business rates promptly and efficiently has become crucial to the Council, given the impact of Covid-19 and the cost of living crisis along with new Government funding arrangements.
Duties include:
- Dealing with business customers, by phone, correspondence and in person in relation to the administration, billing and collection of Business Rates.
- Work as part of a team administering recovery procedures and attend Magistrates Court as required.
