Our client - a well-established leading Property Investment company are seeking a highly skilled and experienced commercial/residential surveyor to join their successful Residential Real Estate business.

This new and exciting role as a commercial/residential surveyor, you will deal with all aspects of residential and commercial property in both the private and public sectors. Principal activities are related to the management, purchase, sale or lease ofland and property, as well as valuing/appraising and surveying property on behalf of the Group. You may act as an agent or broker during a sale and may also carry out contract negotiations between landlords and tenants.

We are looking for a high performing surveyor with specific experience in residential trading, who will meet and exceed our acquisition and revenue growth targets. You will be responsible for maximising our potential within the residential market, impactingresults through effective delivery of strategy.

The Head office is based in Solihull however national travel is required in this role and a car or a car allowance will be offered upon this basis.

Key Responsibilities
- Take accurate measurements of sites and premises
- Assess the impact of a property for development in terms of financial viability
- Find and acquire land opportunities or commercial to residential opportunities
- Consistently be involved in the refurbishment or development stages, visiting sites and reporting back to the team
- Detail-orientated reporting and risk assessment analysis for investment opportunities, valuations for acquisition viability, disposals, among others
- Negotiate with confidence, orally and in writing, on issues such as general residential trading of all types of property from normal residential to specialist retirement
- Sell and buy properties and sites on behalf of the trading arm of the business
- Assess properties for acquisitions and disposals
- Manage and appraise large property portfolios and advise on the purchase and sale of individual investments
- Manage all kinds of property on behalf of a landlord to meet the landlord's contractual obligations. This includes ensuring compliance with the conditions of the tenancy, collecting rents and handling building maintenance and repair
- Work closely with other professionals such as highways, contractors and structural engineers, town planners and architects, in considering new developments or refurbishment works
- Ensure that work is managed in accordance with the Equal Opportunities policy
- Comply with all Data Protection legislation and Information Security Procedures

Basic Qualifications and Skills that are desirable:

- RICS accreditation, undergraduate or postgraduate degree preferred or a relevant vocational qualification (HND/HNC/NVQ3/BTEC/foundation degree) with two years' experience
- At least four years relevant experience
- Enthusiasm and commitment for the surveying/property profession
- Good oral and written communication
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Negotiation skills
- Strong numeracy skills, Microsoft Excel proficient
- Readiness to take responsibility and act on your own initiative
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Confidence in your own judgement
- The ability to develop and maintain a network of professional contacts
- A driving licence and the ability to travel nationally
