J**Accounts Assistant (Lettings Department)**

**Hours**: 9am to 5pm Monday - Friday

**Salary**: £28,000 - £30,000p.a. (plus team commission)

**Our client is looking for a superb Bookkeeper with solid experience of basic bookkeeping and accounting to join a successful and thriving lettings team, serving the Mole Valley area. Based in Leatherhead, as part of a larger lettings team and working across four local offices, they are looking for a confident and highly organised numerical individual who thrives in a busy environment.**
- Managing client and tenant monies and allocation of funds received
- Bank/credit card reconciliations
- Managing the banking facility
- Managing rent collection
- Maintaining cashbook spreadsheets
- Weekly payments to all Clients/Suppliers
- Registering/insuring Tenant deposits
- Reconciling Tenant deposits returns
- Preparing and sending out client statements
- Monthly management reports
- Managing overseas Landlord tax requirements
- Responsible for processing and paying invoices onto the system daily/weekly
- Receive purchase invoices and process, get approval when necessary
- Prepare appropriate schedules and reports as requested by Directors and Accountants
- Assist accountants with annual audit
- Regular use of Excel spreadsheets

**The Person**: you **will ideally** have at least 1/2 years relevant experience of working within accounts/bookkeeping. Strong IT skills are needed and experience of property management software would be helpful (such as Jupix, CFP or Repit). The applicant will be highly numerate and be able to work well under pressure. This is a great opportunity to work for a well respected multi branch letting and property management agency

Proven bookkeeping experience

Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping

Hands-on experience with spreadsheets

Proficiency in English and in MS Office

Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Customer service orientation and negotiation skills

Good concentration

An eye for detail and ability to work to deadlines

A qualification in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration

To be honest, discreet and trustworthy and good at problem-solving
