**Role**:Kennel Assistant, Boarding Kennel and Cattery based in Warwick, National Living Wage (NLW).**

**The Company**:
The Company is a well-established Boarding Kennels and Cattery in the heart of Warwickshire, and in 2019 was awarded 5 stars by WDC. The owner has over 50 years of experience and has owned the Company for over 30 years.

We are now looking for a Kennel Assistant to support the day-to-day duties of caring for our animals. This is a part-time, permanent position, working up to 12 hours per week between the hours of 8:00am and 7:00pm, two or more days a week including weekends and bank holidays with flexible working on a zero hour 12 month basis, re-negotiated after 3 to 6 months.

**Kennel Assistant** **Main Duties**:

- Cleaning the Kennels and Cattery ensuring a good standard of cleanliness.
- Feeding and exercising the guests and house dogs at the Kennels.
- Ensuring the guests and house dogs are well bathed and groomed.
- Dealing with members of the public, handling money/cheques.
- Administering medication to animals as necessary.
- Keeping records of the guests’ care in the Kennels.
- General maintenance work, including keeping the grounds tidy and painting.
- Undertaking any other reasonable duties as required by the Company.

**Kennel Assistant** **Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience**:

- Previous experience working with dogs and animals is desirable.
- Previous experience working within the Care Sector is desirable.
- Full driving licence and access to own vehicle, or reliable transportation, is essential due to rural location.
- Ability to work as part of a team and using own initiative.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work with and handle all breeds of dogs.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
