Construction Intern

**The Vacancy**

We are seeking an intern to join our Construction team on an 8-week summer internship programme.

You'll support the site management team at Southampton and /or Goring-by-Sea with daily operation tasks including health and safety checks, quality control and compliance. You'll get exposure to programming of works and help ensure tasks are on track.

We hope you'll be able to get involved and take some accountability for aspects of material controls and site logistics. You'll interact with different aspects of the building process dealing with colleagues, subcontractors, and perhaps even local residents.

The 8-week summer internship programme will run between 3rd July - 25th August 2023.

**The Internship Programme**:
McCarthy Stone’s internship programme will provide you with the opportunity to gain first class industry experience while earning a competitive salary. Taking part in our intern programme will enable you to add practical experience to your CV and will ensure you have a deep understanding of our business, and how we operate.

Alongside your role, you will be part of a cohort of interns that will enable you to start building your professional network at McCarthy Stone. There will also be Learning and Development opportunities to get involved with throughout your internship with us including insight and skills sessions and ‘lunch and learns‘ on key business topics, as well as visits to our Ringwood office to attend key meetings.

**About you**

**Education and Qualifications**
- Studying towards a degree in Construction, Built Environment or Engineering on target for a minimum of a 2:2
- It would be desirable to have taken, or be prepared to take, the CITB Health Safety and Environment Test (the CSCS Test). More details of this can be supplied if you are selected for interview
