Carlton Bolling is a large secondary school of over 1600 students situated close to the centre of Bradford. It has been on a remarkable improvement journey over recent years, after going into Special Measures in 2014 under high-profile circumstances and being dubbed ‘The Most Broken School in the Country’. From this low point it underwent rapid improvement, attaining an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted less than two years after coming out of Special Measures. This success was followed up by accreditation as a World Class School in 2018, then being named ‘Secondary School of The Year’ in the 2019 Pearson/BBC National Teaching Awards. Despite this considerable success, the school still retains its innovative edge with several exciting initiatives being introduced over recent years, with many more to come.

If you feel that you would like to join our friendly and supportive team, we would like to hear from you.

We welcome visits to the school; to arrange a convenient time please contact Anita Riedel, Recruitment Manager

The School has adopted the principles of Safer Recruitment and will safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to do the same. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and subscribe to the DBS update service.
