The tendering/ quotation specialist will be responsible for the development of accurate, timely and detailed cost estimates on various electrical sub distribution projects.
The tendering specialist will interact with various personal (customers/field sales engineers) and departments (Design and Production).
**Client Details**
A technology leader in electrification and automation, enabling a more sustainable and resource-efficient future. The company's solutions connect engineering know-how and software to optimise how things are manufactured, moved, powered and operated.
**Description**
- Initial analysis of an enquiry to establish approximate value, document quality and agree with team manager that the project aligns with company product profile.
- Understand each allocated project, enabling the identification of the project return dates, LAD's, main contractor / B&F programme.
- Interpreting pre-design, design and building constraints to produce competitive tenders.
- Accurately interpreting the drawings and specifications to produce a costed tender return document utilising the estimating department tools and price lists.
- Able to interpret drawings to clarify what is required and to assist in establishing the most cost-effective options.
**Profile**
- Electrical Estimating: 2 years
- IT competent
- Electrical engineering to NVQ 3 or City & Guilds level 1 & 2
- Demonstrable ability to analyse drawings, specifications, proposals and other documentation to prepare time, product, cost and labour estimates
- To be successful - applicants should be proactive, hold good organisation and communication skills with experience in the electrical industry.
- Possessing a thorough understanding of the sales quotation process and possessing commercial acumen and contractual experience.
- Good understanding of tender process and systems
