Are you a time-served painter? Can you proficiently use various painter's tools and equipment? Belfast City Council are seeking a skilled and motivated Painter to join their Property Maintenance team. As a Temporary Painter, you will be responsible for executing a diverse range of tasks within the Building Maintenance Operation. Reporting to the Area Contract Manager (Building) or a designated officer, you will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic and structural aspects of council properties

**Your Duties**:
**Painting Tasks**:

- Execute a comprehensive range of work associated with the painting trade.
- Maintain, organize, and proficiently use various painter’s tools and equipment.
- Safely erect and dismantle scaffolding, demonstrating competence at various heights.

**Surface Preparation and Coating**:

- Prepare diverse surfaces efficiently, including undercoat, gloss, emulsion, etc.
- Hang various types of wallpaper and wall coverings with precision.
- Treat surface issues such as cracking, flaking, and blistering.

**Maintenance and Compliance**:

- Conduct reactive/planned maintenance work in council properties.
- Work according to painting schedules and specifications.
- Identify, order, and collect required materials.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and standards in all tasks.

**Your Profile**:

- NVQ Level II in Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
- Full, current driving license or access to transport in Northern Ireland.

**One year of relevant experience in each of the following areas**:

- Preparing surfaces.
- Erecting and dismantling equipment.
- Painting and decorating in a maintenance environment.
