Our team is fortunate to work with excellent clients on some of the UK’s most exciting transport projects. The team has grown significantly in recent years, including 40 Transport Planners based in Scotland, and we are now looking to further strengthen and grow our offer.

You will lead and support teams on a range of transport planning projects while undertaking and supporting transport appraisals and business cases to inform investment decisions.

You will lead and/or support on the development of local, regional and national transport strategies and the delivery of monitoring and evaluation studies. You will conduct research and analyse data to support transport projects while preparing fee proposals and tenders. Project management will be an important part of your role, ensuring that quality projects are delivered on time and with budget. You will also be involved in fee proposals and tenders.

Importantly, you will take a senior position within the team and a key part of your role will be to manage and develop junior members while working with leadership to grow the team.

**About You**:
You will be numerate with excellent report writing skills. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to advise both internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You will have a keen interest in keeping up to date with developments and emerging trends in transport planning.

You will have strong experience in the transport sector and ideally you have some experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.

Your passion for developing transport solutions and delivering a first-class service to your clients will be critical to your success in this role.
