**Position: Forklift / Counterbalance Driver**

**Date Rate: 12.00ph - £13.50ph**

**Location**:37.5 hours per week**

**Monday - Thursday 06:00am - 15:45pm, Optional overtime on Friday paid at x 1.5**

Proactive are currently recruiting for a skilled Forklift / Counterbalance Driver in Bury St Edmunds to start work immediately.

This is a temp to perm position working for a market leader in the design and manufacture of high performance engine components. You will be working as part of a wider team delivering projects to meet production targets.

**Relevant Skills & Experience**:

- On a daily basis receive goods into inventory on IFS and physically locate as appropriate, ensuring a high level of accuracy.
- On a daily basis pick material in accordance with Shop Order Bill of Materials and distribute to appropriate production cell.
- As necessary, engrave labels for shop orders to a high standard and in accordance with standard processes to ensure the production line can receive the shop order for processing.
- Create Kanbans to support Supply Chain and Production, supported with set-up daily control and visual management tools.
- On a daily basis, produce spares kits to standard operating procedures and replenish lineside stock as required in line with standard work.
- Support the execution and accuracy of the daily cycle counting programme.
- At all times, work in accordance to all Company Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental standards. Conduct inspection of product to ensure obvious defects are identified and escalate as necessary.
- Champion 5S principles and Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and good housekeeping at all times.
- Proactively engage in supporting the Company's Performance Management System in place, working towards the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Support the training and development of work colleagues as may be required.
- Respond to change positively and productively.
- Work additional hours as may be required to ensure the requirements of the position are fulfilled.
- Keep abreast of changes to Company Policies and Procedures, ensuring the same are adhered to and met.
