We are looking for **Transport Planner** to join our Distribution Centre in **Aston Clinton, Aylesbury _(HP22)_**:

As a **Transport Planner**, you will be the touch point for our drivers before they go out on there night routes.
You will be involved in **planning**, **scheduling** and **allocating resources**, **assisting vehicle checks**, **monitoring performance**, and **ensuring compliance** with health & safety regulations.
You will need to come from a **Transport planning**/**administration background**, have **great communication skills** and be able to deliver against SLAs.
**Transport Planner - The Role**:

- Monitor performance, drive improvement, and resolve challenges and issues as they arise.
- Allocate workload efficiently across the team to obtain the best overall outcome.
- Review all Key Performance Indicators, with regards to miles, drops, postcodes, costs then take prompt and appropriate action to correct any shortfalls in those areas.
- Ensures that daily work schedules for the Drivers are appropriately prepared and executed.
- Deliver customer expectations within defined SLA ‘s to continuously strive to improve.
- Manage Logistics policy and procedure to motivate, lead & develop staff to achieve objectives.
- Develop & manage relationships with customers and 3rd parties to deliver in line with service level agreements.
- Manage transport paperwork in line with site operating procedures and audit requirements.
- Ensure that the equipment and PPE necessary for Drivers are available and maintained to the required standards.
- Lead Health & Safety standards within transport, ensure compliance with H&S Policy and seek out further performance improvement.

**Transport Planner - The Person**:

- Must have previous Transport planning or administration experience, with drive to progress and grow within the Transport sector.
- Excellent Customer Service & Communication skills
- A good knowledge and understanding of road transport legislation including Tachographs.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
