At the Chequers this position will offer varied responsibilities and we believe in training all our members to be the best they want to be. Our KP will often be offered training to become commis chefs or above.
At present this is a part time position but more hours would be available to the right applicant.
Probably Saturday and Sundays weekly
**Duties**:
- Assist in the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
- Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces
- Remove trash and maintain cleanliness of garbage bins
- Stock and replenish kitchen supplies as needed
- Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks
- Follow all health and safety regulations in the kitchen
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hotel kitchen is preferred, but not required
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Note: This position does not involve cooking or culinary responsibilities. It is primarily focused on maintaining cleanliness and assisting with basic tasks in the kitchen.

Pay: £7.75-£10.50 per hour
