MDA’s international footprint in the UK creates opportunities to work with some of the most exciting space industrial players in the country. Delivering all three business area capabilities in Geointelligence, Robotics & Space Operations, and Satellite Systems, our UK team provides support to our European-based customers while specializing in the development of advanced space sensors for exploration missions as well as space-based communication technology. As our presence grows overseas, so does our need for new ambitious team players to help us advance our place in the Universe and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide PA inputs to bids, proposals, contract documentation and customer negotiations
- Verify contractual requirements for quality and assurance, and develop product assurance plans as appropriate, including tracking and implementing changes
- Ensure that PA plans are adopted and adhered to throughout the entire project life (internally to projects and externally to suppliers & sub-contractors) and ensure compliance at all times
- Ensure acceptance procedures and manufacturing and testing gate reviews are planned and implemented to schedule
- Generate PA-specific project documentation which conforms with internal and/or customer CADM requirements
- Perform MIPs and KIPs
- Control the non-conformance process and provide PA guidance to engineers
- Enforce company policies and processes
- Promote best practices throughout the company
- Perform audits
- Facilitate lessons learned process & continuous improvement
- Contribute to, maintain and update the MDA Quality Management System

Key Attributes:

- 5+ years of relevant experience in a Product Assurance role
- Degree in a technical discipline (Essential)
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (preferably spaceflight), including test facilities (Essential)
- Excellent organizational skills (Essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Essential)
- Experience of working to ECSS standards (Desirable)
- Experience with optical sensors, digital communications or Robotics (Desirable)
