Here is an exciting opportunity for you to join our Pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Administrator.

You will provide a comprehensive, flexible and efficient administrative support service for the Pharmacy Service, assisting the Pharmacy Office Manager, clinical and operational pharmacy management teams.

You need to have an understanding of computer systems including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, to aid the support of the Pharmacy service.
- Provide a general reception for the pharmacy department, receiving all visitors in a professional manner.
- Answer telephone calls and direct them to the most appropriate member of staff, ensuring all calls are handled in a timely and efficient manner.
- Communicate effectively with members of the pharmacy team, nursing staff, patients and suppliers, both face to face and on the telephone.
- Receive, sort and distribute mail.
- Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, notices, minutes and resulting action plans for a range of pharmacy senior managers meetings. To undertake minute taking.
- Undertake general office duties such as photocopying, laminating, binding and filing.
- Update and maintain eRostering with approved annual leave, lieu time and absence under the direction of a senior manager.
- Update and maintain departmental spreadsheets and other records.
- Assist in undertaking pharmacy audits.

Order stationery and other goods for the pharmacy service, ensuring cost effective procurement of supplies and maintenance of stock levels.

- Provide a general reception for the pharmacy department, receiving all visitors in a professional manner

- Assist in couriering administration and make phone calls to patients with regards to medication deliveries.
- Receive, sort and distribute mail.
- Arrange meetings, prepare agendas, notices, minutes and resulting action plans for a range of pharmacy senior managers meetings. To undertake minute taking
- Undertake general office duties such as photocopying, laminating, binding and filing
- Update and maintain eRostering with approved annual leave, lieu time and absence under the direction of a senior manager.
- Book locum and bank shifts on eRostering under the direction and supervision of a senior manager
- Produce and maintain departmental rotas using predefined rules.
- Update and maintain departmental spreadsheets and other records
- Assist in dispensary expiry date checking
- Assist in undertaking pharmacy audits
- Assist in stock checks of non-drug items including controlled stationery e.g., FP10 prescriptions and controlled drug registers and maintain accurate records.
- Identify and suggest improvements within the department.
- Take part in general housekeeping duties as required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties the Pharmacy Office Manager, senior managers may allocate from time to time.
- Order stationery and other goods for the pharmacy service, ensuring cost effective procurement of supplies and maintenance of stock levels.
- Ensure safe supply and distribution of outpatient prescription forms across the Trust site. Maintain all documentation relating to supply.
- Undertake quarterly health and safety and fire audits and maintain department records.
