We are currently looking to employ a Senior Health Care assistant to join our team here at The Sands Meadows. The role will include but not be limited to responsibilities such as dispensing and ordering resident medication, dealing with outside professionals (i.e., local GP’s and District Nurses), implementing care plans and dealing with the day-to-day issues that are raised at The Sands Meadows, as well as providing person-centered care for our residents.
- Good team leader skills with the ability to be a dedicated, focused role model for care assistants who work alongside you within the home.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to listen, as well as following and understand instructions.
- Attention to detail.
- Clear and prompt reporting of incidents.
- The ability to build positive working relationships with residents, team members, external visitors and the homes management team.
- The ability to plan, meet deadlines, conduct tasks in a structured and logical way factoring in the unexpected. Be able to remain calm under pressure or emergencies.
- Core values of respect, trust, and calmness and understands the needs of people living with Dementia and the effect it has on them and their loved ones. A commitment to the safety, care and wellbeing of our residents, with the ability to demonstrates empathy when required.

Shifts**:Days: 7:45am-8:15pm**

Included within this role is **“On Call”** hours which usually consists of **Friday afternoon (4pm) through to Monday morning (8am)** cover on your allocated weekend in. An enhancement is paid for this period of **“On Call”**.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

**Salary**: £11.60 per hour
