**The role**

You will be using your knowledge to support our construction and industrial minerals clients in the development of their assets. Our involvement stretches from site searches and prospecting, to quarry design, reserve and resource reporting, to restoration and afteruse. We also provide expert geological services to other sectors in relation to planning and safeguarding, environmental impact assessment, geothermal and CCS. You will have opportunities to lead and manage projects as well as developing your network within the industry through business development. If of interest, you will also be involved in mentoring junior team members and assisting with their professional development.
- There will be some periods of site work with this role. This generally involves supervising site investigations within the UK, but occasionally opportunities to work further afield arise.**About us**

If you are interested in applying, we would love to hear from you. To be successful in this role, we'd envisage that you could demonstrate the following:

- Essentials
- Experience / knowledge of different geological settings and their use as construction and industrial minerals, e.g. Sand & gravel, limestone, clay, & sandstone
- H&S Risk Assessment and Planning
- Strong computer literacy and report writing skills
- Full drivers’ licence, valid in the UK

Desirables
- Geological logging, drill program management
- Open-pit & Earthworks design and phasing
- Geotechnical Management knowledge (in line with Quarries Regulations (1999)
- Software skills, e.g., GIS, LSS, CAD, Holebase, specialist geological modelling software.
- Some experience with data management, modelling, and analysis including geological, operational, blasting/vibration, hydrogeological, and quality control work streams.
- Knowledge of UK mineral planning legislation and practice
