We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Sales/Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our business, which is based in Mansfield.

Description of Sales/Purchase Ledger Clerk Key Responsibilities with be but not limited to:
Sales Ledger responsibilities
- Raise all weekly and monthly sales invoices, ensuring that all works have been completed.
- Sending regular debtor statements
- Monitor and reconcile the debtor’s ledger ensuring all overdue amounts are identified and are chased accordingly.
- Resolution of queries relating to orders and invoices.

Purchase Ledger responsibilities
- Post all supplier invoices and credit notes to our accounting system, ensuring they are matched to purchase orders, where applicable and coded to the correct nominal code and supplier account.
- Produce a monthly payment run for suppliers ensuring the amounts due have been reconciled against the supplier statement.
- Resolution of queries relating to orders and invoices.
- Create new supplier accounts ensuring all relevant information is entered accurately on the record sheets.

General Administration
- General administration duties
- Monitoring and updating KPI’s
- Monitoring and updating comprehensive/complex Excel spreadsheets
- Assisting with compiling and updating our records (weekly/monthly/quarterly/annually) to assist with our annual audits.
- A good knowledge of the whole finance system.

The successful applicant should also have the following:

- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Be computer literate in Microsoft Office (Work, Excel and Outlook)
- Experience in Sage 50 accounting software.
- Be a team player.
