**About Our Client**:
Page Personnel are recruiting for a Banking Assistant based in Salford on behalf of the UK's largest independent provider of highly specialised pathology services.Our clients business includes one of the largest pathology laboratories in Europe, our clients purpose built facilities in Manchester and London feature the latest technologies allowing them to deliver world class services to both the public and private sectors.

Banking Assistant duties include:

- **
Day to day bank account management**:

- Upload statement data to Dynamics AX
- Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations to the GL
- Investigate unreconciled items and bank returns
- ** 2**. **Cashflow management**:Identify relevant inputs for the cashflow process, and manage the cash flow spreadsheet accordingly, identifying and planning cash flow requirements for the next 3 months.
- ** Payment processing**:

- Process payments in Natwest, HSBC, UlsterBank and BNP from the BACS files supplied by AP and through the creation of manual payments for SWIFT, CHAPS and faster payments
- Create and post bank journals
- Create and post payments direct to the GL where requested.
- Follow up on bank returns
- Ensure bank approvers receive approval instructions on a timely basis and liaise with them to meet approval deadlines.
- ** Accounts reconciliation**:Update the Direct Debit and Standing Orders processed by the bank and reconcile the values held in the DD and SO accounts on AX.
- ** Period ends**:Contribute to the preparation of the cash reconciliation to support the financial close process for the Group, including Board schedules, information and commentary.
- ** Audits**:Manage deliverables for and liaise with external and internal auditors as required.

**The Successful Applicant**:

- Have a proven track record in a similar role
- Have knowledge of the HSBCnet system
- Be pro-active in their approach
- Be an excellent written and verbal communicator
- Be proficient in MS Office
