**Anaesthesia Internship Programme**

Chestergates Veterinary Specialists are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated anaesthesia intern who is committed to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care and who would relish the opportunity to further his/her/their career in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia and improve his/her/their knowledge base and technical skills. Our internship programme aims to nurture the best and brightest veterinary surgeons to serve as the foundations and grassroots for future generations as well as prepare them for advanced postgraduate training programmes such as residencies.

We are a specialist-led multidisciplinary referral centre located near Chester. Our disciplines cover anaesthesia, internal medicine, orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, cardiology, neurology, diagnostic imaging and ophthalmology. With state-of-the-art equipment and highly experienced nursing teams, we receive cases from all over the country, with the assurance of exceptional care to all our patients.

The anaesthesia internship programme at Chestergates Veterinary Specialists is a 12-month fixed-term position. In this exciting role you will work under the supervision of and support our anaesthesia team, comprising 2 European Specialists in Veterinary Anaesthesia and Analgesia and 1 residency-trained clinician together with an experienced anaesthesia nursing team, including one RVN working towards their VTS.

The ideal applicant will have completed a rotating internship in a specialist hospital and have found a passion for anaesthesia and analgesia. The applicant should have a proactive, professional approach, positive attitude at all times, outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to stay calm under pressure, great teamwork skills, along with a commitment to practicing the highest standards of veterinary medicine and patient care.
