Savills IM is in a rapid growth phase, expanding its global presence as well as the products and services offered, that post acquisition of a relevant shareholding in DRC SIM now encompasses both Equity and Private debt funds. An expanded product range investing in a larger number of countries and property types, a greater number of investment professionals and a desire to continue developing innovative products means that there should be suitable focus on investment process and performance.

**Job Purpose**

You will join as part of the Investment20/20 programme. The Investment20/20 programme has over 60 investment management member firms and has supported over 2,000 young people to start their career in the industry.

You will be introduced to investment management and you will gain industry knowledge, experience and develop relationships to progress your career and develop skills to secure a permanent role. As part of the Investment20/20 programme, you will have opportunities to meet and network with over 300 trainees across the industry and participate in socials and insight events.

Our trainee programme is a 12-month fixed term contract. This role is based in London in the Savills Investment Management office based in Oxford Circus and will be 5 days per week.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Business Operations trainee to join the team, who are responsible for International Operations and Information Technology across Savills Investment Management. This includes Business Continuity Planning, Health and Safety, and all IT including soft and hardware access.

This is a great opportunity for a trainee looking to build a career in the Operations function across the Investment Management field.

**Role **Responsibilities**

As a Trainee, your role will be to support the Chief Technology and Operations Officer and her teams. You will have the opportunity to learn about the operational functions supporting our businesses, working alongside colleagues with a diverse range of skills, experiences and backgrounds.

The kind activities you will be involved in are:

- You will support project activity, helping to deliver change projects including the roll out of our new business continuity tool/methodology. These projects are international in nature so will afford the opportunity to work with international teams across Europe and in Asia. Other projects include roll out of other software packages to support Risk management and sales.
- The role will also provide support to our procurement function, maintaining supplier lists, simplifying processes and driving value for the business.
- You’ll gain experience of working in a dynamic team, and learn what it takes to be successful in an operational team in the financial services sector, building a better understanding of the key competencies required for a career in the industry.
