Rutherford Briant are recruiting for a Payroll Advisor for a highly regarded, UK leading accountancy firm of Chartered Accountants based in Romford. The firm have significantly grown their Payroll team over the last 12 months and due to recent success andan increase in the size of their client portfolio, they are looking to make another addition with this Payroll Advisor position. They are offering a competitive salary of up to £35,000, as well as a clear route for progression, hybrid working and flexibleworking hours.

Our client is ideally looking to recruit a confident and professional individual who possesses at least three years worth of previous payroll experience as well as prior experience working within Bureau/Practice. They also require the individual to havedemonstrable experience in using Star/IRIS Payroll Professional.

In this role you will be operating as a key member of the Payroll team where you will gain the opportunity to manage a portfolio of your own clients, where you will be encouraged to develop strong relationships and ensure a high standard of support is maintainedacross the payroll team.

What you will do:

- Solely responsible for a portfolio of payroll clients, processing the payroll for each client from start to finish.
- Dealing with all aspects of payroll complexities including IR35, tax credits, student loans, expenses, deductions, starters and leavers etc.
- Dealing with client queries in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring that BACS payments, RTI and AE submissions are accurate and timely.
- Keeping up to date with changes in payroll legislation.
- Building strong working relationships with internal and external clients, maximising cross selling opportunities.
- Getting involved in projects which will help to improve internal processes and procedures.

What you will need:

- 3-5 years experience within payroll.
- Previous Bureau/Practice experience.
- Demonstrable experience using Star/IRIS Payroll.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- High level of professionalism and confidence.
