**Job summary**:
The Capabilities team in People, Capability and Change directorate are responsible for understanding the Department’s capability needs, and developing a learning and careers offer to ensure that everyone in DLUHC can build the skills they need to perform at their best and have progressive and fulfilling careers. We work closely with our leaders, corporate colleagues, staff networks, DLUHC’s professions and external delivery partners to:

- Prioritise and promote investment and engagement in DLUHC’s four priority areas of skills and knowledge.
- Bring together a clearer picture of skill-building and career development opportunities for all.
- Continue to build our learning culture, developing leaders and managers who champion learning and development.
- Maintain our long-term investment in learning and development systems, processes and evaluation.

Over the last three years we have developed the DLUHC Learning Hub on Sharepoint to support colleagues to identify and navigate to the right learning opportunities for their personal and professional growth. We have also developed and continue to improve our Performance and Development and Coaching and Mentoring platforms using SAP SuccessFactors.

We have exciting plans for the future too. PC&C is currently delivering a transformation programme to improve user experience and automate processes across the full range of our HR services. As part of this transformation in the learning space we are implementing SAP SuccessFactors Learning as our new Learning Management Solution (LMS) which will showcase the Departments learning offer and provide a much better learner experience

**Job description**:
As our Learning Systems Lead you will have a vital and impactful role in building the skills and knowledge of everyone in DLUHC. You will be responsible for:

- Developing and managing the technology and content we need across all these platforms to support a great learner experience, now and in the future.
- Listening to and championing the needs of learners, understanding their journeys across our platforms and seeking opportunities to improve them.
- Acting as an SME owning the team’s requirements for the LMS and working with the SAP Programme team to make this a reality.
- Staying abreast of and influence HR digital transformation work happening in DLUHC and across government, including the Government Skills Campus, ensuring that our own digital transformation proceeds in step with wider developments.
- Other duties including co-leading the team’s evaluation work, including ensuring that data from our own and our partners’ learning systems is used effectively to understand the impact of our interventions.
- You will also provide leadership across the team as a member of the Team Leaders’ group, feeding in to Capabilities and wider PC&C planning and prioritisation activity and supporting team wellbeing and cohesion.

**How**
- You will manage our existing DLUHC Learning Hub and oversee our intranet L&D guidance pages, working with the Capabilities team, Professions, business areas and other stakeholders to maintain and develop engaging and relevant learning and development content for learners.
- You will build strong and trusted relationships with stakeholders and colleagues to understand and maintain team, profession/function and Departmental requirements the Department’s learning offer.
- You will work closely with the SAP programme team and PC&C Digital Transformation Lead to translate the team’s requirements into system design, and you will lead on design of the user journey and creation of content on the LMS. Training/learning on Success Factors Learning Administration and working with the Programme team help to build the configuration of Success Factors Learning will be provided, as will support from the PC&C Digital Transformation Lead.
