**Vendor Planner**

**Crewe - Hybrid**

**6 months contract with scope to extend**

**Pay Rate: Circa £22 per hour PAYE**

**MAIN GOALS AND OBJECTIVES**

The provision and management of a delivery schedule to the external supplier that accurately reflects both the actual company production build plan and engineering / After Sales additional requests..

Providing our transport provider with accurate collection information that enables them to plan and utilise their vehicle fleet efficiently across the global supplier network.

Managing (expediting) part deliveries efficiently in order that all requests for parts availability is supported and the company inventory financial budget is achieved.

The early identification of risks concerning parts availability and the implementation of rectification activities that alleviate those risks to ensure continuity of supply.

**Key Deliverables**:

- Responsible for the validity and accuracy of the external supplier schedule ensuring that the information provided to the supplier supports the company production build programme, the financial inventory budget plan and the transport collection manifest.
- Using a number of different supply delivery concepts, the Vendor Planner is accountable for the timely expediting of the parts from the supplier ensuring that the availability of parts is maintained to support production in achieving the production plan - the right parts, the right quality at the right time.
- Responsible for the management of unplanned demand requests from customers within the business and the subsequent timely delivery of the parts that satisfies these requests - typical examples being After Sales VOR requests / engineering / project requests / responding to BOM and Quality concerns.
- Identification of potential supply constraints and risk to parts supply and responsible for agreeing preventative actions that assist in alleviating these threats - can include cross functional team working and facilitating supplier reviews both internally and externally.
- Creating Key Performance Indicators and status presentations with regards to supplier delivery performance and inventory stock holding value which are used by the Vendor Planning management team at senior supplier reviews and forums.

**Skills & Experience**:

- Working with external suppliers with regards to parts delivery
- Working in partnership with others to identify and resolve supply chain concerns
- Previous relevant experience of equivalent Quality standard and requirements for Logistics
- Demonstrate experience of:

- Effective communication with a range of people / audiences
- Planning and problem solving
- A proven track record of working effectively with external supplier with regards to parts delivery
- Knowledge of processes / concepts within material planning:

- MRP (Material Requirements Planning)
- Part Scheduling / EDI (Electronic Data Interchange)
- Working knowledge of SAP or equivalent system
- Knowledge of VW Group Systems
- Competent user of Microsoft Office Suite
