Barista/waitress (Seasonal)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Barista to join our team at The Boathouse Cafe on a seasonal basis. As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests by preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages and food items. Your passion for coffee, attention to detail, and friendly demeanor will contribute to creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our customers.

**Duties**:

- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and specialty drinks
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
- Operate coffee-making equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the coffee bar area
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash register records
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Excellent time management skills to ensure orders are prepared in a timely manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques is desirable
