**Youth Worker**

**Full-Time Position**

**Temporary position**

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Work with young people aged 5-11, including those with additional needs, to develop their social, emotional, and behavioural skills
- Support young people to set and achieve personal goals
- Build positive relationships with young people, parents, and other professionals
- Deliver group work and one-to-one support sessions
- Provide guidance on issues such as bullying, self-esteem, and goal-setting
- Contribute to the development and delivery of youth work programs
- Attend meetings and provide updates on the progress of young people
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with agency policies and procedures
- Keep accurate records and report any concerns to the appropriate person

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in youth work or a related field
- Experience of working with young people in a school or community setting, including those with additional needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A flexible and adaptable approach to working with young people
- A full driving license and access to a car is desirable
