Are you a dietitian with broad range of clinical experience and an interest in working within haematology ? An 18-month secondment has become available as part of our team at Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) NHS Trust. The post covers both an inpatient and outpatient caseload covering haematology. You will be working in a team of dietitians to support these services, having the opportunity to gain a range of skills and expertise including bone marrow transplant. As a service, we are committed to continuing professional development for all our staff through a range of opportunities that include recognised training courses, involvement in service development and audit. We have supported staff through a number of development opportunities including Masters and PhD.

Main duties of the job

Working for our organisation

We are a large and friendly department of around 100 staff including assistants and technicians providing dietetic and nutrition support across all areas of the Trust and beyond. The service has excellent IT facilities and a dedicated group of non-registered staff who help provide dietetic support. Support would be available from dietitians working in other specialties provided from City Campus, including gastroenterology, critical care, burns, cardiac, renal, CF, oncology (including head and neck and Upper GI) and haematology. The Trust is committed to providing excellent nutritional care, led by its Nutrition and Hydration Steering committee. We have close links with the University of Nottingham, and take student dietitians for A, B and C placements.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You should have experience of working as a dietitian, have excellent communication skills, self-motivation, have a flexible approach and the ability to manage your own time and buys workload within a supportive team. Nutritional support skills are essential and additional training and support will be provided. As part of this role you will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). **Salary**: The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.

The system will provide us with an outcome of your check which will be stored securely on your personal file along with all other pre-employment check documentation.
