The Supply Service are recruiting for a Shift Leader on behalf of a Children's Residential Home based in Buckley, Flintshire.

Successful applicants will have a proven ability in adapting to different settings effectively, whilst supporting Support Workers provide the relevant care and support to children and young people aged 7 to 18 with a range of acute and enduring issues.
Challenging and complex needs are present, including EBD, SEMH & MLD.

**As Shift Leader you will be responsible for**:

- Leading a team of Residential Care Practitioners ensuring continuous improvement in performance and promoting the well-being of your team.
- Creating an environment and atmosphere within which the needs of young people can be met.
- Providing a positive living experience for all young people and provide appropriate care and support as identified in the Young Persons Care Plan/Personal Plan.
- You will also support, supervise, and direct the staff team to ensure current legislation is followed and positive outcomes are achieved within working practice through open lines of communication.

**Essential requirements**:

- Level 3 Health & Social Care Diploma (Children and Young People).
- Have or be willing to work towards Diploma Level 4 in Leadership and Management and Professional Practice.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with children/young people in a residential setting.
- Experience of leading and managing a Team of Residential Care Practitioners.
- Leadership & motivational skills.
- Awareness of the needs of children and young people in Children’s Homes.
- Understanding of intervention strategies.
- Knowledge of the Code of Practice for Social Care Workers
- Full UK manual driving licence.

**Salary**: £34,070.00-£35,055.00 per year
