**The Role**

As the Head of Project Management, you will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of Project Managers, ensuring the seamless delivery of complex digital projects across a diverse client portfolio. Your role will be critical in fostering an environment of high performance, continuous improvement, and strategic leadership within the project management department.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Leadership and Management**: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Project Managers. Ensure your team is equipped with the necessary tools and training to excel in their roles.

**Client Delivery Oversight**: Provide comprehensive visibility to the leadership team on ongoing issues, risks, and progress across all client projects. Maintain positive and productive relationships with client stakeholders and delivery counterparts.

**Project Delivery Excellence**: Manage workstreams, projects, and programmes to time, budget, and quality standards. Uphold governance to enable effective delivery across all client work.

**Risk and Scope Management**: Effectively manage risks, issues, and scope changes to ensure project success.

**Strategic Development**: Contribute to the development and implementation of a strategy for the Project Management team that aligns with departmental and wider business goals.

**Experience**: At least 5 years of experience in a Project Management role, with proven leadership of Project Managers.

**Project Management Expertise**: Exceptional knowledge of software development life cycles, Agile and traditional project management principles. Ability to adapt methodologies to fit project and business needs.

**Delivery Track Record**: Demonstrated success in delivering complex digital, technical workstreams, programmes, or projects.

**Multi-tasking Ability**: Skilled in managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.

**Team Leadership**: Experience overseeing multifunctional teams including UX, Creative, Developers, and QA personnel.

**Financial Acumen**: Proven experience in budget control and stakeholder reporting.

**Communication Skills**: Excellent oral and written communication abilities. Confident in driving face-to-face client meetings.

**Analytical Skills**: Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills. Capable of managing competing client demands.

**Technical Proficiency**: Best practice knowledge and experience using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Microsoft Project, and Office tools.
