We have a vacancy for a part-time ACT to join our pharmacy in Lanarkshire, Scotland. We are an established and growing independent Pharmacy that focuses on customer care and satisfaction.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced ACT to join our team.

**Your main duties will include**:
Carry out final checking of dispensed items whilst adhering to the companies standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Supervise the pharmacy technician(s) and wider dispensary team to ensure everyone is carrying out their duties correctly.

Answer queries on the supply and availability of medicines as well as answering queries of a routine pharmaceutical nature and know when it is appropriate to refer a patient to the Responsible Pharmacist.

Assist with the engagement of patients onto advanced services (smoking cessation, minor ailments etc) and assist with the provision of such services where appropriate.

Be able to provide advice on leading a healthy lifestyle. Ensure that Patient Medication Records (PMR’s) are maintained accurately to ensure patient safety whilst complying with current data protection requirements.

Liaising with other healthcare professionals to assist in the continuity of patient care across primary and secondary care.

Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of medicines and minor ailments by reading journals, product information and training resources.

Selecting, labelling and dispensing pharmaceutical products in accordance with a prescription (whilst following company SOP’s) and complying with all legal requirements

**Essential skills and requirement**:

- NVQ Level 3 in pharmacy service skills and pharmaceutical service. Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and compliant with standards for pharmacy service.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Able to comply fully and understand the importance of customer confidentiality.
- Good organisational skills, excellent time management skills and able to work to strict deadlines and multitask.
- Able to build relationships with key partners (GP surgeries, care/nursing homes etc.)

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
