This is a Product Owner role with FinOps responsibilities. You will be responsible to be the main interface between technical teams and the financial teams to provide oversight and insight into the financial cost of moving to the cloud. The role holder will work as a Product Owner within the IT department, responsible for a functional area of our customer's Finance Operations Platform, driving it forwards to deliver value to users and aligning with the company objectives. You will ensure that non-functional requirements are captured and prioritised so that all attributes of the system are covered to deliver a reliable and high-quality service to our customers.

**Required** **Skills**:

- Prior experience in Fin Ops function in a large enterprise - recommend use annualised cloud spend under management
- Robust experience as a Senior Business Analyst, Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile development environment
- Experience using AWS DevOps or a similar management tool to support the end-to-end development lifecycle

**Key responsibilities & duties include**:

- Support stakeholders in understanding their cloud spend based on their business roadmap and budgeted forecast
- Monitor cloud consumption at the account level to detect, investigate and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes
- Analyse, report and produce meaningful insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools, data lake, CMDB, and other asset inventories as applicable
- Collaborate with Cost Optimisation Engineers to track resource utilisation to define and execute relevant cloud commitment plans and to define strategies to re-purpose freed up capacity
- Design, develop and maintain reports and KPIs that provide detailed usage statistics of resources across the multi cloud landscape
- Evaluate and investigate data patterns to derive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions
- Participate in business case development, cost modelling, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and trade-off exercises
- Participate in automating, integrating and maturing the Cloud FinOps processes and data
- Be an ambassador for Product-led concepts
- Develop a deep understanding of our users, their needs, and the direction they are going in
- Develop a broad knowledge of the Platform industry
- Work with a multi-functional team to find the best path to creating meaningful value for our customers in line with our overall company objectives. This could involve adding to our proposition, improving the existing proposition, meeting the requirements of new regulations, or changing the way we work operationally
- Maintain a roadmap view of your backlog
- Lead Example Mapping sessions to collaborate and align on acceptance criteria for User Stories
- Lead both team and cross-team improvement sessions for upcoming work items
- Identify non-functional needs such as usability, performance, security and service levels
- Work within the scrum framework iteratively and collaboratively with design, engineering, operations, legal, compliance and many others to refine your plan and execute against it effectively
- Develop and track core metrics for your functional areas
- Identify and manage risks & issues through to resolution, ensuring all affected/interested parties are aware, escalating if necessary
- Validate software build for completeness, accuracy and quality
- Assist with the review and prioritisation of defects
- Co-ordinate and support user acceptance testing as necessary and support the implementation process
- Work closely with the rest of the Product team and outside it, to share ideas, and relentlessly look for ways to improve how we can add value to the Product
